Town & Gown to host Millennials in the Workplace workshop

MURRAY, Ky. 鈥 The Town & Gown Partnership at Murray State University is hosting a Millennials in the Workplace workshop March 7 from 7:30 a.m. to noon in the Murray Room of the CFSB Center. The event is sponsored by the City of Murray with support from Heritage Bank.
This four-hour interactive workshop focuses on developing a better understanding of the millennial generation and how to engage them in the community and workplace. Participants will learn about the millennial generation鈥檚 motivations, workplace preferences and attributes they ind desirable in
companies and communities. The cost to participate is $35 for those who register prior to Feb. 14 and $50 for those who register between Feb. 15 and March 2. To register, contact Carol Brunn, coordinator for Town & Gown, at cbrunn@murraystate.edu or 270-809-3023.
鈥淭own & Gown recognizes the importance of providing professional development opportunities that are both effective and affordable,鈥 Brunn said. 鈥淎s the millennial generation is the largest generation to enter the workforce since the baby boomers, this timely topic will offer our business leaders some insight into the diverseness of this generation.鈥
Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks will lead the workshop. In addition to Hendricks鈥 civic work as the second-youngest mayor of Hopkinsville, he serves as the president and CEO of Momentum Consulting, an organization responsible for helping non-proit organizations and small businesses develop systems, processes and talent to produce maximum impact and proit.
