Study Abroad in Business
Three signature Education Abroad programs from which to choose for MSU business students to study in several different countries and earn business course credit are described below:
-
SHORT-TERM PROGRAM:
(IBS) tours offers programs of two to three weeks in length in either winter break or summer break of every year. IBS students visit companies and speak to executives in their choice of Europe, Asia, or Australia, and have many planned group excursions as well as free time. Students who attend IBS get credit for BUS 396, a 3-hour business elective that may be used for any business area or major student; MBA or other business graduate students get credit for BUS 696. . IBS programs take MSU students and faculty abroad to meet a group of students from other U.S. universities, where the group of 20 to 30 students from MSU and other universities then travel together throughout host countries. MSU students have studied with IBS for over 30 years. For more information, please contact Dr. Joy Humphreys (jhumphreys4@murraystae.edu) or Dr. Heath Keller (rkeller@murraystate.edu).
-
SEMESTER-LONG PROGRAM:
Semester in Regensburg offers an opportunity for students to travel to Regensburg, Germany to take business and university studies courses from Murray State faculty in the fall semester in English. The semester is full of business and university studies course choices for the fall semester. Courses in the German language and culture are also available. MSU has maintained the exchange program with Regensburg since the early 1990s. Students have opportunities to travel through Europe on fall break (10 days) and on weekends. The program is also surprisingly affordable, especially since students pay tuition to Murray State, and financial aid applies. For more information, contact Steve Guns (sguns@murraystate.edu).
