Early Business Education Outreach

The Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business provides a number of opportunities for high school students. Some of the key programs in our outreach to area high schools are described below.

Articulation Agreement

The Bauernfeind College of Business has an articulation agreement with the Kentucky Department of Education to allow students who complete a Business and Marketing Education career pathway and who meet the criteria will receive up to six (6) credit hours in appropriate college level course(s) with Murray State as outlined by Appendix A of the articulation agreement. For more information, please refer to the articulation agreement.

Principals, guidance counselors, or business teachers may wish to use this certifying letter template [Word document]. Certifying letters must be printed on school letterhead.

Students who qualify for the credit bring the certifying letter to Kelsey Johnson in room 220 of the Business Building on Murray State’s campus. A campus map is available to help you locate the Business Building.

Periodically check your myGate account after your Murray State classes have started to make sure the hours are posted to your record. Keep in mind that it may take several weeks to be processed. If the hours are not posted by the end of your first semester, contact Mrs. Johnson for additional assistance.
