Carol Tomlinson

Carol Tomlinson - June 11th

Carol Ann Tomlinson's career as an educator includes 21 years as a public school teacher, including 12 years as a program administrator of special services for struggling and advanced learners. She was Virginia's Teacher of the Year in 1974. More recently, she has been a faculty member at the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education, where she is currently Professor and Chair of Educational Leadership, Foundations and Policy. Also at U.Va., she is Co-Director of the University's Institutes on Academic Diversity. Carol was named Outstanding Professor at Curry School of Education in 2004 and received an All University Teaching Award in 2008. Special interests throughout her career have included curriculum and instruction for struggling learners and advanced learners, effective instruction in heterogeneous settings, and encouraging creative and critical thinking in the classroom. 

Scott McLeod - June 12th

A Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of Colorado Denver, Scott McLeod, J.D., Ph.D., is widely recognized as one of the nation鈥檚 leading experts on P-12 school leadership, deeper learning, technology, and innovation. He is on a mission to make students鈥 day-to-day learning less boring and more meaningful and relevant. Scott is the Founding Director of the UCEA Center for the Advanced Study of Technology Leadership in Education (CASTLE), the only university center in the U.S. dedicated to the technology needs of school administrators, and is the co-creator of both the wildly popular video series, Did You Know? (Shift Happens), and the 4 Shifts Protocol for lesson and unit redesign.

Jon Corippo - June 12th

Eduprotocols co-creator Jon Corippo describes himself as a 鈥渇ormerly disgruntled student.鈥 He made it almost all the way through school with a 2.9 GPA. Jon graduated from college with no intention of teaching. After rising to a county-level Assistant Superintendent role, followed by running one of the largest educational non-profits in CA, Jon spent 2020-21 teaching 6th grade 鈥渉uman children'' in Madera County in Central California. Eduprotocols went from being Jon鈥檚 hobby to his full-time work in 2022. Jon presents worldwide, helping teachers to 鈥淭each Better Work Less鈥. Jon has been recognized as a County Teacher of the Year, a 20 to Watch Educator by the NSBA, and named a Top 100 Influencer by EdTech Digest. The Eduprotocols book series has sold nearly 60,000 copies worldwide, and Jon has done over 700 live classroom demos in three countries since 2021.
